1.    Summer Help Needed---If you are graduating this year and will be 18 years or older at the end of the 23-24 school year, we have an opportunity for you!  The Blackhawk maintenance department is in need of summer help to cut grass, paint, clean and do supervised general maintenance jobs.  Please contact Darrin Fleischmann at 724-846-9600, Extension 1015 or [email protected].  The rate of pay is $15.00 per hour.

2.    Attention Sophomores:  The Blackhawk School District Board of Director’s recognizes the need for communication between the student body and the Board in order to identify the students concerns and views on the various board decisions.  If you are interested in being the junior class student representative for the 2024-2025 school year, please stop in the office today and pick up a packet.  The junior class student is considered the alternate representative.  The application process includes providing an essay explaining why you want to be a representative and a petition signed by 40 students.  Essays and petitions are to be submitted to the high school office by May 17, 2024.

3.    Mrs. Equels’ Information Technology class has completed their 2024 Computer Build!  
Ticket sales will continue until Wednesday May 22nd at the end of the school day, or until all tickets are sold.  Look for ticket sales in lunches, Mrs. Equels’ room, or from any Information Technology student.  One ticket is $5 and 5 tickets for $20, cash or check only.  The raffle will take place on Thursday, May 23.
